From military service to MBA

My journey in the realm of cyber security is quite of the ordinary.
I was a musician and stage performer until I was 23 which is when I decided would be a great time to join the Air Force.

At the time I only planned maybe a year or two of service then back to the stage. However, during my service I discovered a new world. A fascinating one – the world of cyber security and warfare. from basic version updates and system patches to cyber espionage, data leak, and business continuity I found myself so fascinated I couldn’t bring myself to quit my service. Ten years later with the rank of Major I proudly finished my service and headed for the ‘real world’.

The real world has made me understand I had some gap of understanding which could only be salvaged by performing an MBA, and where to study one if not in the esteemed Kellogg school of management at Northwestern?
The incredible range of incredible people and managers whom I had the honour to meet during my studies brough me to a deeper understanding that cyber security is, to an extent, a little disassociated from business and strategy.
I spent extra time studying cases, going to conferences and consulting with my student colleagues and this is my first step to bridge the gap between cyber security and business, or, in other words, explain cyber security in a Business format.

I am a Major in reserve, I am an MBA graduate, a CISO, a DPO and a CISM and this website was created for businesses who care but don’t know where to start
